Unfiltered: Our Stories

Unfiltered: Our Stories is a bold and intimate showcase of new theatrical works-in-progress, each on its way to becoming a full production. These original creations explore themes of disability, grief, identity, cultural complexity, and personal transformation with humour, grit, and grace. They are reminders of how much of ourselves we can find in each other’s stories. The idea for Unfiltered: Our Stories all started by finding strength and inspiration in each other.

Miriam Cummings’ WIDE confronts grief through the lens of performance; Greta Papageorgiu’s Observations from a Walker finds humour and tenderness in disability and motherhood; Tracy Ross’s PALIMPSEST uncovers the invisible marks we leave on one another; Kelly Terbasket and Denise Kenney’s Brown Eyes Blue invites audiences into the space between cultures; and Nikos Theodosakis’ HELP! offers a candid, funny reflection on living with Parkinson’s and the courage to ask for support. Together, these pieces create a bold, communal exploration of loss, identity, resilience, and connection.
